I recently was faced with the challenge of migrating from Freshdesk to Zendesk. We had around 1500 tickets and 600 contacts. After searching around for services to assist in the move I found Help Desk Migration. Their prices were super competitive, well under the other options on the market, and when I reached out to ask more, they were super helpful and quick to respond with any and all information I required.

I was especially concerned about security, HDM described their approach and I was impressed with how well thought out their process was and how respectful they were of their customer's data.

    Migrating all of the data from HappyFox to Freshservice. Freshservice doesn't import much of anything unless you use the API, and I didn't have the time to do it myself. Why invent the wheel when this service already did all the research and programming?

    As for the tips: Don't forget to carefully read the checklists before proceeding, don't forget to anticipate your potential need for keeping the same object ID in your target platform (like your ticket's ID which can be used by your customers to identify their tickets).     Consolidating multiple Zendesk instances into a single branded instance, thereby saving the customer money. We need historical data because legislation in Africa (POPI act) requires any interaction history with a customer to be kept for the lifetime of the relationship and then for 5 years beyond. My tips for those who also want to migrate are: 1) Use the chat feature if you need guidance in the process, this really helps. 2) If migrating to a multi-brand environment, make sure the brands are set-up beforehand and the target environment is prepared with macros, triggers, views, automations, etc. 3) Sit back and relax as Relokia take care of the rest.
