Migration Sharing: How to Share Your Data Migration?

Picture the following scenarios:

  • First, you are setting up a help desk migration and hesitating about mapping this or that record.
  • Second, you run a help desk migration for your customer and need a quick checkup on mapping custom fields or some other settings.

Save your time and effort—use a migration sharing option, and your colleague or customer will edit or set how they want it to be. A win-win, right?

How to share your data migration?

Go to your migration at https://app.help-desk-migration.com/. Click on a sharing icon next to the migration ID.

Share your data migration

Then provide the Name and work email of your colleague or client. Choose the access scope you allow:

  • Global means you share full access and your colleague/client will see the migration as you see it.
  • Restricted means your colleague/client does not see support plans, price, and can’t start the Full Migration.

Once you click ‘Save,’ your colleague/client will receive an email about being shared access to the data migration at the Help Desk Migration. If your colleague/client has no account at https://app.help-desk-migration.com/, they will be routed to sign up page before accessing the migration setting.

Provide the name, email and access rights

If you need to change or revoke access your colleague/client has, click the sharing icon near your migration ID or name, and select the suitable option from the drop-down next to the Shared person email line.
