How to prepare to migrate data to Service Hub?
Other than finding the right time to start the migration and cleaning up your database to get rid of outdated information, you should also consider the following:
1) The information from the agent profiles cannot be migrated over the API. Before starting the migration, set up accounts for all agents in Service Hub. They should have the same emails as in the source platform. Lastly, if you’re going to have fewer agents in Service Hub, either manually re-assign their tickets in the source help desk or contact our team to set the default agent.
2) Turn off the Automatic association of companies in Service Hub to avoid duplicates. Check out this instruction for more details.
3) Service Hub does not have default properties for tags and audit fields. If you want to retain this data, create a custom field in Service Hub with the following type: text for tags, date for the audit field. Then, contact our team to get this data transferred in a custom migration.
