Begin by creating your Migration Wizard account. Use single sign-on (SSO) or your business email. If you sign up with email, you’ll confirm your address, set a password, and be ready to go.
Connect your platforms
Add your source and target help desks. Depending on the platform, you may need specific access credentials. If your platform isn’t supported, you can request a custom source. You’ll also see how to revoke incorrect connections and replace them with the right ones.
Choose what to migrate
Select the data you want to import—tickets, knowledge base articles, or both. The Wizard ensures related records, such as comments, tags, and attachments, migrate automatically. You’ll also see how to map fields for tickets, agents, organizations, contacts, and articles.
Configure mapping
Match agents, contacts, and organizations between platforms. Create missing users or fields directly in the Wizard if they don’t exist in your target help desk. Default and system fields are auto-mapped, while custom fields can be matched or created to fit your needs. Required fields must be mapped to prevent migration errors.
Apply custom options
Personalize your migration with built-in settings. Add tags to migrated tickets, move inline images as attachments, or skip attachments altogether. You can also migrate side conversations as private notes, call recordings, and knowledge base translations. For records like customers and organizations, you can choose to import only those linked to other entities.
Run a Demo Migration
Before you commit to a full transfer, test your setup with a Free Demo Migration. Import 20 tickets or 20 articles and preview how your data will look in the new system.
Review your results
Once your Demo Migration is complete, check the detailed migration report. Verify records one by one using IDs or links, and confirm that custom fields, side conversations, and attachments migrated correctly. You can even share results with your team, download reports as a ZIP file, or roll back Demo data if needed.
Get support and advanced options
If you need help, choose from Standard, Premium, or Signature support packages. Premium allows re-migration within five days, while Signature adds advanced features like Interval and Delta Migration to keep your data aligned if you’re still using your source platform during the transfer.
