Do I need to turn off automations before the migration?
In most cases we strongly advise turning off automations on your new platform to avoid unexpected changes in the migrated tickets (e.g., status changes, ticket reassignment, etc.)
If you can't turn off automations, we offer you the following workaround.
a) request a support agent to add a tag to all migrated tickets.
b) choose “Add a new tag to the migrated tickets” if the automated option is available on mapping.
Then, you set up specific rules for your automations and notifications so they won’t be triggered on the tickets with the added tag. This way, you can migrate your data with turn-on automations.
