How to disable automatic association of contacts and companies in Service Hub?
If you have the Automatically create and associate companies with contacts setting enabled, HubSpot Service Hub will check domains of contacts email addresses and create companies if it doesn’t find an existing match.
With that setting enabled, after the migration you will see new companies that Service Hub has automatically created. However, leaving this setting on can also result in duplication of data, so we recommend disabling this feature before starting the migration.
To do so, go to:
- Account Menu > Settings.
- Contacts & Companies in the left sidebar menu.
- Click to toggle the Automatically create and associate companies with contacts switch off (when it's OFF the switch will be gray).
