How to Migrate from Salesforce Service Cloud to Hubspot Service Hub

If you found yourself in a situation where you can’t figure out which is the best method to migrate from Salesforce to Hubspot, then worry not. Help Desk Migration has been at the forefront of migration for years now. Generally speaking, you can do it on your own using the native implementations. However, if you need assistance cause you are doing it for the first time, then keep reading as we’ll cover why it is easier to do it with us. Let’s get started!

Doing it Alone

While you can do it alone, you will have to do a ton of headwork. What headwork exactly? Well, first thing first, you’ll need to dig and place concrete for the migration to be possible in the first place. Since most companies don’t have a clue how to do it correctly, you will also have to perform a lot of research. That’s right, your software engineer team (or equivalent personnel) will have to identify all the variables of both platforms.

Moreover, your team will have to learn how to use said variables. You see, migration between platforms is complex and requires that you know the ins and outs of each platform on an advanced level. Yet, even if you manage to learn all of this in a short time span, you will need to devise a functional migration plan since caveats happen all the time.

All of this is possible to do alone but it will take a ton of time. Not all companies are willing to spend copious amounts of time on something that might, in the end, won’t even work.

By doing things with us, you get guarantees. What guarantees you might ask? Well, the fact that your migration will be done in a timely manner. The Process Itself

We understand that some of you might want to learn how the process is carried out and we are more than happy to oblige. Generally speaking, the entire migration event can be divided into three parts, preparation, specification, and demo. Let’s take a look at each separately so that you can have a better understanding:

Preparation Phase — Now, this is perhaps the most important part of the entire migration process. In this phase, you need to sign up on our website, choose your source and target platform (these are Salesforce and HubSpot responively), and start the migration process.

Salesforce Service Cloud connected

Once you are done, you will be asked to provide credentials to both platforms. Why? Our tool relies on a “bridge” communication model. To establish this connection, credentials are necessary.

HubSpot Service Hub connected

Specification Phase — This is perhaps the most interesting part of the migration. It is where you will need to specify what you would like to move. After you provided the credentials and the connection was established, our tool will pull a list of entities you can migrate to the Hubspot Service Hub platform.

Data mapping Salesforce to HubSpot

Also, during this step you will be able to change the ticket fields mapping (if needed). And in case you are wondering, we will provide a list of movable objects in the latter section of this article.

Demo Phase — And finally, the demo phase. Now the general idea of this process is that our tool will take a few of your records, copy them, and migrate them to Hubspot Service Hub. This process is done to ensure that everything will go fine during the full migration and yes, our tool copies your data and leaves the old records intact. In other words, your stuff will be safe in case things go haywire.

There’s technically a fourth phase which is the full migration but since it mostly implies just waiting, we will skip it and go straight to things you can migrate.

Things You Can Migrate

And last but not least, we’d like to bring your attention to this small list of entities you can move from Salesforce to Hubspot. Keep in mind, though, this list is not final and things will be added in due time.
