How to Find Wix Answers API Key ID and Secret?

When migrating from Wix Answers, you need to collect the needed access credentials. The list includes:

  • URL: the URL of your Wix Answers account
  • Key ID: KeyID to your Wix Answers account
  • Secret: Secret to your Wix Answers account

To find both Key ID and Secret in Wix Answers, you need to do the following:

  1. Open up your Wix Answers account.
  2. Then in the left sidebar, choose Settings.
  3. Select Tools in the new dropdown.
  4. Then pick Webhooks & API Keys.
  5. Press on Webhooks.
  6. Copy both Secret (Private) and Key ID (Public).
  7. Return to Migration Wizard and fill in the required fields.

How to Create API Key ID and Secret?

If you don’t have the Key ID and Secret, you need to create them in the Wix Answers app. Here’s how to generate them:

  1. Go to Settings > Tools > Webhooks & API Keys.
  2. Wix Answers

  3. Then press on API Keys at the top.
  4. In the right corner, hit + Add API Key.
  5. Create API Key Wix Answers

  6. After that, fill in the appropriate API key name.
  7. Then select the level of access you require: full access or limited access.
  8. Note: Full access means that users can access anything allowed by their role. On the other hand, users with limited access can access anything permitted by the API Key and their role.

    When you choose limited access, you need to pick the permission level:

    • None: Access isn’t allowed.
    • View: Read-only access is permitted.
    • Edit: Write and read access is permitted.

  9. Hit Save to apply settings.
  10. Click to copy the API Secret Key and save it. You can’t retrieve it after you close the window.
  11. Press Saved It.
  12. As soon as you’ve created API Key, get KeyID in the Key column.

Note:

  • You can find your KeyID appears in the Key column.
  • Press the Show More icon next to an API key to edit or delete it.
